Extract and link data from AutoCAD 2008-2012 to spreadsheet cells or text files for database processing. You can use existing Excel files 97-2010 files as templates or create new ones in the CADSite Reports Editor. Existing formulas and references are automatically updated and additional rows/columns are inserted in the spreadsheet to accommodate data if needed. If you modify a drawing entity property (such as line length) the corresponding linked spreadsheet will be dynamically updated. Likewise, if you modify a cell value the corresponding linked entity property will be dynamically updated in the drawing. You can send selected spreadsheet information as linked tables to AutoCAD. If you modify the linked spreadsheet the corresponding linked table in AutoCAD will be updated. CADSite Reports can also detect spatial relationships between entities to extract data. You can, for example, extract and link information from attributes of blocks located inside closed polylines in a certain layer. A report template library which you can use as a starting point to create your own data extraction templates is included.
